Aborigines or known as Orang Asli is one of the minorities among Malaysian population. Hence, they are also eligible for knowledge and information despite staying in rural areas. It is our responsibility to help them engaging with the community by assisting them in various ways to upgrade their living standard. Moreover, one of our objectives is to spread positivity in their life as well as incorporating Islam as a way of life.

Community Outreach for Orang Asli Development (COMRADE) is an engagement club of IIUM students with Orang Asli through a social project to promote development in terms of healthcare, mentality and spiritual enhancement for Orang Asli. Its aim is to maintain the effort of delivering da’wah to Orang Asli community as the main target. Nowadays, the world is rapidly changing due to the development of technologies and education. In order to serve the better ummah as our main target group which is aboriginal community, COMRADE has been organising a lot of programmes that mainly focusing on the development of aboriginal community aligned with our main objectives as to provide education theoretically and practically to Orang Asli along with their development in terms of technology. In the meantime, it is able to train the students on many skills such as communication, socialization and critical thinking skills.

Hence, we would like to propose a continuity programme named ‘Projek Peduli Asli’ which focusing on Cultural Empowerment and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) located at KOA Pasir Linggi and KOA Machang, Pos Lebir, Gua Musang, Kelantan. ‘Projek Peduli Asli’ is a continuous project annually that aims on the current problem faced by Orang Asli. Initially, we mainly focused on giving brief exposure to new members about the nature of the programme and also focused on bonding with the aborigines of all ages. Then, it is also a medium to spread da’wah to the aborigines in an effective way.

Sebagai langkah kesahihan pelaksanaan projek ini, pihak iSADAQAH juga akan sentiasa mengemaskini anda dengan keseluruhan kutipan yang diterima, resit sumbangan, gambar aktiviti kempen serta koordinat GPS komuniti yang menerima bantuan sebagai bukti ketelusan pihak iSADAQAH dalam menjayakan projek ini.
