Orang Asli are Malaysia's original inhabitants, forming an integral part of the nation’s cultural and historical identity. Although a minority, it is our collective responsibility to support their welfare and provide necessary assistance. The primary goal of our programmes is to improve their living conditions while introducing aspects of Islam to encourage its adoption as a comprehensive way of life. To achieve this goal, COMRADE IIUM has implemented a variety of programmes, such as teaching them basic Islamic information and giving them access to mosques where they can learn more about Islam and its values. Community Outreach for Orang Asli Development (COMRADE) is a club that is responsible for engaging IIUM students with Orang Asli in social projects in order to promote development in terms of infrastructure, mentality, and spiritual enhancement for Orang Asli. It is meant to continue helping and maintaining the effort of delivering da’wah to the aboriginal community as the main target. In order to serve the ummah better, especially our main target group, which is the aboriginal community, COMRADE has been organising many programmes that mainly focus on the development of the aboriginal community as their main objective to provide education theoretically and practically to the villagers as well as to help in the development of the aboriginal community. This programme's overarching purpose is to instill the Orang Asli with a sense of exposure to the religion while engaging with them in a fun way.

Pos Rual is located at Jeli, Kelantan. It is divided into 4 villages, which are KOA Manok, KOA Seberang, KOA Tabiran, and KOA Kalok. KOA Manok is quite far from the other three villages. The total houses for KOA Seberang, KOA Tabiran, and KOA Kalok was about 80 houses. It is estimated that KOA Seberang, KOA Tabiran, and KOA Kalok have about 30, 25, and 25 houses, respectively. Mobile network is available in every village except for KOA Kalok. However, KOA Manok has a strong network coverage compared to KOA Seberang and KOA Tabiran. River is the main source of water for these villages. Pos Rual has complete facilities except for the mobile network for KOA Tabiran and KOA Kalok. Additionally, the infrastructures provided are two levels of surau, an elementary school, a badminton court, Dewan Sri Basor, which is a new hall, and also a futsal court. The majority of the villagers are Muslim, but they have a poor understanding of aqidah especially older people. They know the basic Rukun of solat, wudhu and obligatory bath, but there are still a number of them that do not know about it. As for children, they are interested to listen and give feedback about sirah (the history of the Prophet Muhammad Pbuh) and motivational stories when we tell them. Most of the villagers are still practicing the traditional way of work in order to earn money, which is rubber tapping. But there are also those who work as gardeners, school guards, and
labourers. There are also a few of them selling durian and ice cream and selling handicrafts that are made of bamboo. The majority of the Orang Asli residents belong to the Semai ethnic group, speaking Bahasa Asli Semai as their primary language while also communicating in Bahasa Melayu with outsiders. Previously, similar programmes were held by the COMRADE Club IIUM. Looking into the success of SHABARQ 1.0 in 2018 until SHABARQ 5.0 in 2022, we would like to continue this flagship programme for this tenure. SHABARQ was held
